17 degrees, it’s spring. Well, it was for a day. Enough to start the season. I had not started my SR 500 since October so I was curious to see what would happen. Luckily I didn’t have to wait too long. There was silence for about fifteen kicks, then I could hear the engine nearly making it. And with the next kick, suddenly the motor started and was running smoothly as if there had been no such thing as a winter. Sweet! So off to the gas station to get some fuel and adjust the tire pressure, then into the wilderness of Brandenburg, the surroundings of Berlin.

Starting the season means to take it slow, to get back into the mood. It was beautiful to be back on the road. To see nature fly by, to feel the wind, the acceleration. There's plenty more of that coming our way. But it can't do any harm to practice a little beforehand.
